Named
after Mark's mother, Ruth, the lodge was originally built
in 1951 by local craftsmen and family members. In 1957, we
added a separate facility and opened to the public.
Today,
Ruthcliffe Lodge features six lakeside guest rooms with unparalleled
views of Lake Champlain. Rooms are uniquely decorated in themes
characteristic of the region. The Songbird room…the
Angler…the Garden room…the Grapevine…the
Orchard…and the Sunflower.
Each
is comfortably furnished and features such charming details
as hand-stenciled walls, handmade wall quilt, wicker chairs,
and a Vermont-marble verandah overlooking the shores of the
lake. Private bath and ceiling fan included.
(All
prices quoted for one night double occupancy and do not include
tax or gratuity. $15 for each additional person.)
